Happy 2009 Everyone !!!
Hope that this new year will be a better year for all us.

I spent the last day of 2008 @Marina Barrage. It's the new dam built across the Marina channel. From Marina North till Marina South.

The place will be a serene if you go there during normal days. It's has a broad walkway and most importantly I love the blue waterdroplets balloons hanging along the walkway. It's gigantic and cute I want it. If I am able to find that little version of that Balloon. I gonna buy it.

Went there at night time around 7 plus. It's really fabulous to walk along the walkway seeing people gather at the shelter pit area with families and friends waiting for the count down. Singing, carnival and people just gather at the greenland and looking at the wide screen. Most importantly the lovely water droplets balloons will fly around in the midst air and it will brightened up at night. Lovely.

There an exhibition hall demonstrating how the structure of the dam is constructed and a long 9 shaped walkway leading you to the grassland area and down to the water fountain area where lots of adults and kids play with the water in the fountain. Beside it there are cafe and restaurants. It will be a nice place to consider if you want to go to off city area. A clean and serene place.

Found it really amazing that Mr Lee Kuan Yew actually has great foresight in resolving Singapore water constrain problems. I think it's pretty interesting to see the demo given in the exhibition hall and the spoke person telling you how the structure works.

Did not went home that late although they say that there will be free shuttle bus services to heartland area at 11.30pm. But i left the place around 10.30pm and reached home at around 12.15am. Yeah just in time to wish my love ones Happy New Year!!!!!
